  • Is your salon pet-friendly?
    Unfortunately, no. While we adore those cute little furkids of yours, some customers may not feel the same way.
  • Can I bring my child/children?
    We warmly welcome your child or children to our salon. To ensure a comfortable and relaxing experience for all our guests, we kindly ask that children are always accompanied by an adult in all areas of the salon. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
  • What is your opening hours?
    We are open 5 days a week, Mondays through Fridays, except on the first week of every month. See below for the full schedule. Monday 9am - 6pm* Tuesday 9am - 8pm Wednesday 9am - 6pm Thursday 9am - 8pm Friday 9am - 6pm ​ Every first Saturday of the month: 9am - 3pm ​ *Please Note: For the week where we'll be opened on a Saturday, the preceding Monday shall be our day off. ​ We are closed on every other Saturdays, Sundays and Public Holidays
  • Are you accessible by public transport?
    Yes, we're 4 mins by foot from either Maxwell or Tanjong Pagar MRT. You can also take buses 80 or 145 and alight at the Bef / Aft Craig Rd stops.

Arriving a little early not only helps us stay on track but also gives you a moment to unwind with a complimentary cup of tea or coffee before your treatment begins. In Case You're Running Late Life happens, and sometimes delays are unavoidable. If you arrive late, we'll make the most of the remaining time to provide the best possible service. Please understand that to respect everyone's schedule, we might need to adjust the length or nature of your appointment if another guest is booked immediately after you. If you're not delighted with your hair, please let us know immediately. We're dedicated to making it right and ensuring you leave feeling confident and beautiful. Product Refunds If a product you purchased doesn't meet your expectations, we're happy to assist. Simply bring your receipt, and we'll gladly offer a refund. Even if you've used the product, we understand that finding the perfect match is essential. We're delighted to exchange it for something more suitable to meet your needs.   • What payment methods do you collect in the salon?
    We accept all major credit cards. However, a 2.5% additional charge will be incurred, so we do recommend using NETS (contactless debit) or PayNow.
  • What is your cancellation policy?
    At Hair Shaka, we understand that plans can change. If you need to adjust your appointment, please let us know as soon as possible — it truly helps our team manage their schedules effectively. The following applies only for first timers who use our Online Booking for now. Appointment Deposit - A 25% appointment deposit is required for online bookings and first-time appointments. This ensures your spot is reserved and confirms your commitment. Booking Cancellation Policy - Our cancellation policy is designed to accommodate both our clients and our team. Appointments can be changed up to 48 hours before the scheduled time. Beyond that, the following charges will apply, which will be settled via the payment card used to book the appointment: - Within 48 hours, or 2 business days: 25% of the appointment cost - Within 24 hours, or 1 business day: 50% of the appointment cost - No-show or same-day cancellation: 100% of the appointment cost Running Late? - If you’re running late, please contact us immediately. We’ll do our best to adjust your appointment to the remaining time available, helping you avoid any cancellation charges. Why We Enforce These Policies - Last-minute cancellations or no-shows mean we miss the opportunity to serve other clients on our waiting list and cannot fill that time slot. This affects our team and our business significantly. Secure Payment Information - Card details are securely held by our payment provider to manage future appointments. These details are protected with the highest compliance. Our team has no access to your payment information. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation. Your consideration helps us provide the best possible service to all our clients.
  • Why might we refuse service at Hair Shaka?

However, in certain rare situations, we reserve the right to refuse service if it is in the best interest of everyone involved. We always handle such matters with politeness and transparency. Reasons we may refuse a service: 1. Service Request Outside Our Expertise: If a client requests a service that we don't provide, don't specialise in, or feel uncomfortable performing — such as if the condition of the hair isn't suitable for the desired service — we may need to decline. We believe in delivering only the highest quality of work. 2. Repeated No-Shows: We understand that life happens and sometimes appointments are missed. However, if a client consistently fails to show up for their scheduled appointments, it impacts our business and affects other clients who need our services. In such cases, we may decide to refuse future bookings. 3. Consistent Unhappiness with Service: Our team strives to make every client happy, but if someone repeatedly expresses dissatisfaction despite our best efforts, it may be a sign that we are not the best fit for their needs. We will honestly communicate this and may suggest finding another stylist to ensure they receive the experience they deserve. 4. Discrimination, Abuse, or Harassment: We maintain a safe and respectful environment for both our clients and staff. Any form of discrimination, abuse, harassment, or violence towards our employees or other clients will not be tolerated, and we will refuse service to anyone exhibiting such behaviour.
